A life of parties, so called friends and drug use robbed Robert of many years of his life. What started as an experiment became a life long journey down a one way street / downward. Drugs stole money, joy, family and the life that he could have. Despair and depression swirled him downward until he was on his back looking up... All was darkness!

In case you've never heard John 3:16 it tells how God loved us so much that he sent his own son to die for us. God realizes that we make mistakes; we cheat, tell white lies, and sometime even do worse things. Things that hurt some people we don't know and some people we love the most. The good part of it? Because of what Jesus did- God says two words   NOT GUILTY! The path to the cross tells us how far God was willing to go to save us.
t.Jeremiah 29:11 says that God has a purpose and a plan for our life and that it is for our good and not for evil, and to give us hope and a future. Robert found Gods plan for his life coaching kids, holding summer camps, teaching and giving testimonials and leading others towards the kingdom of God. Life in Jesus Christ restored to him what sin had taken. God seeks you and me, not because we deserve his love or because we have something to offer but because of his great love for us. Alexander chose west virginia university over the likes of Penn state, Ohio state, USC, Michigan, Texas University, And Nebraska. However, unlike his highschool career, Alexander's years at WVU were hard ones. There were no bowl games, no national televison appearances, and no winning seasons.

Alexanders father passed away in ninteen seventy eight and without the life coping skills to deal with the loss,
he coped with the tragedy by turning to drugs and alcohol.

As he looked back on his life, he often thought what would have made a difference for him. Alot of former proffessional athletes will not tell people about there own ordeal with substance abuse.

That is why Alexander formed the N.F.@.L. He wanted to give the children of the world an opportunity to hear his story and learn from his mistakes. Through the NF@L Alexander can give people something special. A hope and a future.
